Meet the Author: Marinda Misra
Marinda Misra is an up-and-coming author of Young Adult Fantasy who lives right here in Puyallup. Her debut novel, The Healer Academy, follows a girl who’s spent her life believing she’s worthless—until strange lights make her question everything she knows about magic, sanity, and herself.

About the event
Marinda Misra is an author of Young Adult fantasy and lives right here in Puyallup. If it is about someone saving the day and maybe having some help with magic she's all over that, especially if that someone is a teenager facing down evil. For more mundane facts about her, she is a wife of one and a mother of three. If you ask her if she prefer dogs or cats she will respond with rabbits. When she isn’t writing, she volunteers with young girls, enjoys fresh kettle corn, and loves to look at the mountains.
Her debut novel, The Healer Academy, was a finalist for the Whitney Award in the YA Fantasy and Debut Author categories.
